Forum Rules
All users must follow the rules and regulations as outlined within this section. If you have any queries regarding these, please contact one of the moderation team which can be found by clicking here.

  • Signature + Postbit Header Limit

    Users are permitted images in their signature with size restrictions of 500px x 250px for normal users and 500px x 300px for Supreme members.
    GIF images must not exceed 2MB.

    Postbit Headers must not exceed 5MB in file size, by converting files to JPEG or GIF can reduce the size of these files dramatically.
  • Spam Prevention

    Please add as much content to your posts as possible, and ensure the content of your post is relating the discussion within the thread. This rule only necessarily applies to those with the intent to spam or repeat offenders.
    In extreme cases, users may be permanently banned for excessive spam.
  • NSFW Content

    All inappropriate content that may be deemed 'NOT SAFE FOR WORK' or a similar environment should be wrapped using the [NSFW][/NSFW] tags.
  • Provoking Users

    Do not excessively provoke other users in the means to irritate them. For example, continuously abusing system features to annoy a member or making shady comments that are not considered personal attacks.
  • Personal Attacks

    Do not use discriminatory language towards other users with malicious intentions. If the moderation team do not consider the context offensive, you will not be punished. All incidents that have personal attacks will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the moderators.


The punishment for rule breaking will vary depending on the severity of the rule break. In most cases, warnings will be issued before a user is infracted for a rule break. Nevertheless if a moderator deems an incident as 'severe' - further action may be taken in the first instance.


When an infraction is issued, a points system is used to vary the severity of the infraction. As a result the ban tiers are as follows:
  • 5 Infraction Points will result in a 24 Hour Ban
  • 10 Infraction Points will result in a 3 Day Ban
  • 20 Infraction Points will result in a 7 Day Ban
  • 30 Infraction Points will result in a 2 Week Ban
  • Infraction Points exceeding 31 may result in a permenant ban from PopOverdose due to regular breach of our Rules and Regulations.
